Dishwashers!!
Ugh! I'm finally breaking down. The dishwasher broke about 2 months ago. I never called the landlord because we weren't home a lot & didn't have a lot of dishes-I could easily do it by hand.
But now we are home more, so of course there's a ton of stuff I need to wash,but it never all seems to get done!!
So I have to call the landlord to fix it. He's good about fixing stuff fast. I hope this isn't a pain in the neck.
When it runs, there is a pool of clear water that seeps out onto the floor.
Also need him to look at the ceiling. Seems that its cracking...like they put plaster up but now its cracking.

Good luck getting the stuff repaired. I actually decided a few months ago to quit running the dishwasher (unless I have a gathering) The boys were loading it and running it which I appreciated but they were only running partial loads and I do try and watch stuff like that. So we all have a go and just do them up real quick after the meal (meal cooker is excluded) Sometimes I wanna cave and just load it but for the most part its been fine. I put the baby up on the counter and she helps so it's been fun (certain that novelty will wear off though ~ after all its dishes

Well...they were here...not sure what they did. In the kitchen, the bottom of the dishwasher is off-its like the very bottom-there's kinda a vent thing there. The leak is on the right hand side, so what he did was put some paper towles & stuffed them into the hole where the leak was. The paper towels are damp-not sure if he tried to run it or what to see the leak.
Called the landlord again-the receptionist must have been 120 years old-sounded like it!! Told her that they left the dishwasher undone-she said she'd tell someone.
Come home...nothing done! Gotta call again tomorrow, but in the morning when they younger lady works.

Came home today & was SO excited to see....A BRAND NEW DISHWASHER!!!
I ran it w/out dishes just to make sure it was ok. It ran fine!

Congrats, Lee Lee 
I have one too.. ever since the year 2000
always washed my hand, but I always enjoyed doing dishes. I know I am strange~ 
With the 2 of us we only run it about every 3-4 days. not unless we have family/friends over then more often
Love it~ Mine is portable

I love doing them by hand too!
I've been tired lately, so Jim suggested why don't we get the dishwasher fixed. Glad I did!
Didn't ask them to fix the ceiling yet...maybe next month!

Here, the plates even, are washed by hand,… the dishwashers are very expensive, and, very few people can accede to pay the price....

Dishwashers here are all kinds of prices. My mom has a super fancy electronic one. Ours is simple. I've seen prices as low as $200!
